What are the Hot Comics Releasing this Week?

What’s Hot?

Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys Marvel History #1

Maybe the hottest new character Marvel’s seen in years gets his own “Destroys” series. This will be well sought after, but you’ll also see a fairly flooded market, so don’t pay too much for one of the five covers.

Deadpool #10

Deadpool comics have underperformed for a few years now. But there’s some intrigue this week with the return of Good Night, a character making just his second appearance, and first introduced in the series #1 issue.

Fartnite #1

Kind of a ridiculous character premise (but then again, so is Cosmic Ghost Rider), the play on the popular game has only added demand as issue has been often delayed. Expect to pay up if you want in on this issue.

Must Read

Ronin Island #1

The latest Boom! Studios series, created by Greg Pak and Giannis Milonogiannis, has really cool premise, artwork, and all four covers are great. This might be a sneaky winner this week. UL

Doomsday Clock #9

I forgot this series was still active with all the delays. This issue supposedly features “the secrets of the past, present and future will rock the very foundation of the DC Universe.” Whether or not that’s simply a marketing ploy, it’s worth giving it a look.

Domino: Hotshots #1

Gail Simone returns to write for Domino’s latest series, who leads a newly assembled team to end a brewing war. Maybe we get a noteworthy first appearance…?

Star Wars: Vader – Dark Visions #1

Darth Vader dressed as a Jedi King Arthur? Star Wars fans, go change your underwear. The latest Vader miniseries explores a new side of his origins.

Morning in America #1

Oni Press’ newest series is sold out and has an interesting, mysterious premise behind it.

Eclipse #13

A great and underrated series by Zack Kaplan and Image Comics returns after a brief hiatus with a new arc.

Blazing Covers

Harley Quinn #59

Black Order #5

Black Hammer ’45 #1
Deadly Class #37
Justice League #19

Could be Cool

Meet the Skrulls #1

A little something to wet your whistle for this week’s release of Captain Marvel. It might be worth checking out, but the goofy, Third-Rock-from-the-Sun-premise might not work.

Ziggy Pig Silly Seal #1

The last of Marvel’s one-shots is brought to you by writer Frank Tieri, which has sold out.

Obey Me #1

The latest video game series will have its fans, but the bite is in question.

Astro Hustle #1

Maybe the biggest wildcard of the week. It could sink or swim, but my gut’s telling me these will line your LCS’s dollar bins before long. 4c5265616465722
