Hot Comics for March 20, 2019

What are the Hot Comics Releasing this Week?

What’s Hot

Spider-Man: City at War #1

A new Spidey series that builds its own universe with its many fan-favorite characters. There’s a lot of really good covers for this, most of which you should be able to get at, or just below ratio.

Rise #1

Another new Scout Comics series, another hot book. The premise of the book looks promising and is worth grabbing this week.

Must Read

Dark Red #1

A new vampire book brought to you by writer Tim Seeley. The book has had decent early traction and a decent grab this week.

Spider-Man: Life Story #1

Another new Spidey series released this week is a retelling of his history and a definite grab if you’re a fan of the character.

Teen Titans #28

The “Terminus Agenda” arc kicks off one of the most promising DC stories this year.

Life & Death of Toyo Harada #1

Comics are at its best when Valiant is relevant. This new series is hot and has a lot of really cool covers.

Batman #67

The new Batman arc, “Knightmares”, is another highly anticipated DC storyline that is a great jumping on point for readers.

Thor #11

Marvel’s big series, “War of the Realms” kicks off next month, so if you have any interest in getting into it, you might want to begin here.

Nightwing #58

The Joker’s Daughter makes her return in a highly anticipated issue. Both covers are worth grabbing as well.

Lazarus: Risen #1

Lazarus fans rejoice! The series returns with a new arc.

Invisible Kingdom #1

I’m stoked for this new Dark Horse Comics series by G. Willow Wilson. I’m not sold on it’s long-term flipability, but it looks cool enough to pick up and read.

Blazing Covers

Immortal Hulk #15 (Cover B Alex Ross Marvels 25th Anniversary Tribute Variant)

Savage Sword Of Conan #3 (Andrews Variant))

Uncanny X-Men #14 (Cover A Salvador Larroca)

Aquaman #46 (Cover B Esteban Maroto)

Could be Cool

Offbeats #1

There’s some buzz behind the new Antarctic Press series, but the premise is jus meh for me.

Dungeons & Dragons: A Darkened Wish #1

IDW does a swell job with their D&D series’. Definitely worth checking out.
